When the Big Bear community suddenly found itself without one of its favorite local restaurants and bar, (a big part of the community since the 1970’s) a couple employees and beloved patrons came together to get the iconic establishment back open. That was in 2020, two  months before the pandemic, and then we were forced  to close down for two and a half months.

The owners, Peter, Lisa and Michael, have fought hard to keep the community of locals and visitors from all over happy, well fed, inspired and entertained. Thanks to everyone and their support, we have overcome three more temporary closures (completely out of our hands) over the first two years in business.

We feel deeply blessed and are so grateful for the continual support from the community of both full-time residents and visitors from all over to help us keep this long time favorite hot-spot of Big Bear open! Known locally as “THE place for live music,” Big Bear Bar and Grill has five nights a week or more of live entertainment, with great bands from all across the South-land (and locally!) every Friday and Saturday, to open-mic night and karaoke throughout the week.

Here at the Bar and Grill, our philosophy is, “We serve love and kindness with a side of food and drink,” and our motto is, “Come as friends, leave as family.” We deeply thank all our guests from near and far for giving us the chance to serve you some good food and good drinks, along with making and enjoying great friends with great times of merriment and cheer!
